Despite holding plenty of gold, FTR’s Dax Harwood has picked a very different moment as the favorite of his AEW career so far.
The championship credentials of FTR spread across the wrestling world, including reigns in WWE, AEW, Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling. Their contests over the last few years have cemented them as one of the top teams of the modern era, and all but assuring them status as two of the all-time greats of the tag team scene.
However, Dax Harwood has gone on record with a moment which, despite thinking it might make him sound “soft”, manages to rank as the best one he’s had in AEW to date.
In a discussion with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes, Harwood named the moment he had the chance to walk through the curtain following her heart complications as one of the top moment he could have.
Oh, man, you want to get me in trouble huh? Let’s see. The biggest highlight in AEW. Oh, my God, dude, people are gonna think that I’m this soft as ice cream son of a b*tch.
But the biggest highlight in AEW is my daughter coming out on stage after she won her battle. And Tony gave us the blessing and actually didn’t even just give us the blessing. He loved the idea, and allowed her to come out and get a moment, because she fought so hard to overcome that, and 10,000 people in the arena cheered for her. That’s probably my biggest accomplishment in AEW.
FTR recently returned to AEW programming at Revolution 2023, and instantly set their sights on the Tag Team Championships currently held by The Gunns. Dax Harwood recently noted that nothing has changed with the pair’s AEW deals since they returned.
