Dave Meltzer Match Ratings WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event December 14th
Dave Meltzer has given his take on the big return of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The first Saturday Night’s Main Event since 2008 was headlined by the Undisputed WWE Title clash between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. But while it was Rhodes who had his hand raised when all was said and done, the match will best be remembered for what took place when the show went off the air.
Upset at losing out, Owens attacked Rhodes from behind, before hitting him with a Package Piledriver. With Rhodes leaving the arena on a stretcher, Kevin Owens was then confronted by Triple H at the top of the ramp and a shoving match ensued.
Earlier in the night, Chelsea Green became the first-ever Women’s United States Champion with victory over Michin.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Liv Morgan, Gunther, and Drew McIntyre.
