Dave Meltzer Reveals 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Match Ratings

Cody Rhodes celebrates winning the WWE Royal Rumble

Dave Meltzer has broken down his match ratings for the 2024 Royal Rumble.

The Royal Rumble is one of the most anticipated events of the year and always has huge implications for the rest of the year, especially WrestleMania. The 2024 edition of the event was held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida but it was overshadowed by a new lawsuit alleging Vince McMahon’s involvement in sex trafficking and sexual assault.

In the ring, the women’s Royal Rumble match was won by Bayley who entered at number three. The match also saw the in-ring debut of Jade Cargill and return to action of Liv Morgan who had been absent since the summer.

Elsewhere, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed Universal Title in a Fatal-Four-Way Match and Logan Paul kept hold of the United States Title after Kevin Owens was disqualified.

In the main event, Cody Rhodes won the men’s Royal Rumble for a second year in a row, although the match was marred by an injury to CM Punk. The match was Punk’s first televised clash since he returned to WWE at Survivor Series, but a triceps injury will now keep him out of WrestleMania.
