NXT No Mercy is back!

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, NXT will hold its next Premium Live Event on September 1st. No Mercy will come live from Denver, Colorado with a venue yet to be announced.

WWE’s third brand is currently flying high following the success of Heatwave, which was near-universally praised by fans and critics. In the main event, Ethan Page captured the NXT Championship, emerging victorious from a wild Fatal-Four-Way match. The show went off the air teasing the return of TNA star Joe Hendry.

No Mercy will take place the day after WWE Bash in Berlin while serving as the brand’s last PLE before it moves from the USA Network to The CW on October 1st.

WWE Relaunched No Mercy With NXT In 2023

No Mercy was a main roster staple between 1999 and 2008, with Kurt Angle famously winning his first World Championship at the event in 2000. The name then disappeared before being brought back in 2016 and 2017 before once again being dropped.

WWE resurrected No Mercy for a second time in 2023, this time utilising the name in its developmental brand.

On that occasion, Ilja Dragunov beat Carmelo Hayes to win the NXT Title, while Tiffany Stratton came up short in the main event as she attempted to regain the Women’s Title from Becky Lynch in an Extreme Rules match.
