Date Revealed For WWE PLE Debut In Italy

There will be a WWE PLE taking place in Italy in 2026.

Over the last several years, WWE has shown a willingness to head outside of the United States and Canada for its Premium Live Events.

This year alone, there were PLEs in Australia, France, Saudi Arabia, while previous years had shows in Germany, Puerto Rico, Scotland, and more.

While speaking to SportBusiness in September, WWE President Nick Khan mentioned that the company was planning to bring a PLE to Italy.

“Almost half of our Premium Live Events take place outside of the United States now. We believe WWE is a global property, we believe the results on these shows, both in terms of attendance and viewership (locally and globally) have been significant. We have seen year-over-year increases for viewership on each one.”

WWE’s First Italy PLE Will Be In May 2026

There is now a date for when that event will take place. According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, the planned date for the first PLE in Italy will be Sunday, May 31, 2026. Most WWE PLEs are on Saturdays, but they do some on Sundays, especially when it’s not NFL season.

That Italy PLE doesn’t have a name yet, but WWE has used Backlash as the first PLE after WrestleMania. The 2026 WrestleMania 42 event will take place on April 18 and 19 in Las Vegas, the same weekend it was held in 2025. It has not been confirmed if WWE will use the Backlash name for the Italy PLE in May 2026.

The Italy PLE will take place at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.

The dates of the first four WWE PLEs of 2026 are as follows:

• Royal Rumble on January at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
• Elimination Chamber on February 28 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois
• WrestleMania 42 on April 18 & 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise (Las Vegas), Nevada
• Backlash (?) on May 31 at Inalpi Arena in Turin. It may not be called Backlash.
