Date And Location For WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Why It Could Change
The plan for the 2026 WWE Elimination Chamber event is for it to return to the US, but there may be some changes.
For the first time since 2021, WWE Elimination Chamber will return to the United States in 2026. It was held in Toronto this year, Australia in 2024, Montreal in 2023, Saudi Arabia in 2022, and in Florida in 2021.
This year’s WWE Elimination Chamber event in Toronto was a major show that saw John Cena win the Men’s Chamber match in the main event. After the match, Cena turned heel by kicking Cody Rhodes in the groin and aligning with The Rock and rapper Travis Scott.
There are other years where Elimination Chamber feels like just another PLE, and it doesn’t stand out that much. However, Elimination Chamber is important because it’s between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE’s plan is to have the 2026 edition of Elimination Chamber in Chicago on February 28th.
WWE May Change Elimination Chamber Plans Depending On What AEW Does
As he reported the Elimination Chamber story, Meltzer also mentioned that the show’s date could change if AEW plans to run an event on a date close to February 28th.
“Rumble has already been noted for 1/31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Elimination Chamber is currently scheduled for 2/28 in Chicago. The Rumble date is pretty locked in.
It wouldn’t shock me to see the Chamber date changed a week in either direction if they want to compete with AEW. Both current dates are on Saturday, and when it isn’t football season, AEW generally does its PPV shows on Sundays.”
Most years, AEW hasn’t had a PPV in January or February, instead opting for the Revolution PPV to be in March. As Meltzer noted, WWE could opt to change the Elimination Chamber date just to mess with AEW because it’s something WWE has done in the past.
