DarkState Attacks Former World Champion On WWE NXT

Tonight’s edition of WWE NXT was a special episode for the brand as it was the final episode of the year. The show featured an amazing title match, while the year-end awards were being given out throughout the show.

Ethan Page retained his NXT North American Championship against former TNA World Champion Moose. It seems like the night wasn’t too kind to former TNA World Champions.

Another former world champion with WWE’s partner company, Joe Hendry, had a night to forget as well, after his New Year’s Eve Eve concert was unceremoniously interrupted.

DarkState takes out Joe Hendry on WWE NXT

Joe Hendry and the leader of DarkState, Dion Lennox, came against each other a couple of times in the past few weeks, especially in matches that would decide the number one contender for the NXT Championship.

Hendry denied Linnox the chance to become the number one contender, and he didn’t take kindly to Hendry’s actions. They had rubbed shoulders last week, planting the seeds for tonight’s attack.

However, what’s interesting about the segment was that it wasn’t just DarkState who had their eyes on Hendry, as he was also being mysteriously watched by former North American Champion, Tony D’Angelo.
