Darby Allin Lays Out Sting’s Plans Before Ending Career
Sting is edging closer to his final match and now Darby Allin has laid bare what he and The Icon want to do before it all ends.
Sting revealed that his final match will take place at AEW Revolution as he brings the curtain down on one of the longest wrestling careers in history. Sting first appeared in AEW in December 2020 and during his time in the company he has competed in tag team matches and remains undefeated in those as he formed a formidable alliance with Darby Allin.
On the Homecoming edition of Dynamite, Sting and Darby Allin defeated Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a tag team match before Tony Schiavone joined the victors with Sting seemingly ready to reveal who his final opponent would be.
Before Sting could answer, however, The Young Bucks interrupted, staring down both Sting and Darby Allin, indicating they might want the chance to send The Icon off into the sunset. But it seems Allin and Sting have other plans.
Sting Wants AEW Tag Team Gold
On Dynamite in North Charleston, North Carolina, a video package aired where Sting and Darby Allin noted that they wanted the AEW Tag Team Championship before The Icon hangs up his boots.

The Young Bucks also appeared on the show, now going by Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, and signalled their intention to take him out and everyone else like him.
With Ricky Starks and Big Bill currently holding the AEW Tag Team Championship it remains to be seen if they will be involved in Sting’s final match or if they will lose the gold before a likely bout between Sting, Darby Allin, and The Young Bucks.
