Darby Allin Keeps AEW Promise On Mount Everest
Darby Allin only had one thing on his mind when he reached the summit of Mount Everest.
Darby Allin is no stranger to a tough challenge, but he outdid himself when he announced his plan to climb Mount Everest in April 2024, but his plans were thwarted by a broken foot. However, he remained determined to reach the summit in 2025.
During an appearance at the AEW All In Texas ticket on-sale party back in December 2024, Allin reiterated his desire to climb Everest, claiming he’d plant an AEW flag to show how important the company is.
“The cool thing with AEW is I can look at myself in the mirror and know exactly who I’m looking at. This company gives me so much. They let me do what I want to do out there in the ring in front of all of you, and they let me do what I want to do in my personal life.
I am climbing Mount Everest in April, and I’m going to take that AEW flag and plant it on top of the goddamn world to remind everybody what AEW is capable of.
And it seems Darby Allin is a man of his word.
Darby Allin Plants AEW Flag On Mount Everest
On May 18th, Darby Allin reached the peak of Mount Everest, and sure enough, he had a flag with him to mark the occasion.
Taking to social media, Darby Allin posted a photo of him fulfilling his promise to raise the AEW flag on the ceiling of the world as he thanked his employer as well as his team who made the gruelling trek with him:
Mount Everest summit.
