Darby Allin Details Extreme Lengths Needed To Recover From Matches
AEW star Darby Allin has been forced to take his recovery seriously.
Darby Allin has never met a risk he didn’t want to take.
This has seen the star launched onto an upturned set of steel steps, thrown down a flight of stairs, and falling off a ladder through a pane of glass to name just three wild stunts. However, the former TNT Champion is keenly aware of the toll these feats of madness take on his body.
During an appearance on A Meal and A Match with Renee Paquette and RJ City, Allin described part of his house as looking like a “laboratory” packed with equipment to help his recovery.
“It’s so insane, my whole downstairs is like a laboratory. I’m friends with DDP and he’s got all of this state of the art physical recovery stuff at his house. I’ll go up and try it out and now I’ve got two ice baths at my house. I got saunas, breathing machines, I got everything because I want to be crazy for as long as possible.
But, the mind is also a big thing, so I started TMmeditation. It’s like a big thing where it kind of goes to the source of thought, where it actually helps me get more creative. You wake up in the morning and it’s like, ‘I’ve got to do this, I got to do that’, and it just really puts you at balance if you’re stressing. You can handle a lot.”
Extreme Darby Allin Ideas Blocked
Speaking elsewhere, Darby Allin revealed that some of his opponents have refused to go along with some of his more extreme ideas. Allin said that while he’s willing to push the limits as far as he can, he’s been told “absolutely not,” to more than one crazy idea.
Allin was most recently in action on the November 6th episode of Dynamite where he teamed with Orange Cassidy to face PAC and Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders.
Cassidy is set to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title at Full Gear.
