Damian Priest Wants Tag Team Gold With Surprising WWE Star

Damian Priest has new goals for the Terror Twins.

During their time in Judgment Day, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley became close friends and a formidable team both inside and outside the ring.

When both stars were effectively kicked out of the group at SummerSlam, they decided to seek revenge together as a partnership dubbed the Terror Twins. This saw the pair team with great effect at Bash In Berlin, getting the better of Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.

However, Priest would like to see the partnership in contention for championship gold. Although WWE has steered away from intergender wrestling for several years, Priest would love to take the tag team ranks by storm alongside Ripley.

In a new interview on Conversations with The Wrestling Classic, Priest said he can’t imagine teaming with anyone else.

“If they let us do that, it’s very possible. If they allow Rhea to be my partner for the World Tag Team Titles, that’s 100% possible. I could see us beating anybody. There’s nobody right now in WWE that I feel like I can’t stand toe-to-toe with, and I know she thinks the same way.

So, if you put us together in a team, I mean, you saw how we wiped the floor with [Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan]. That was a cake walk. You put us against the Tag Team Champions, I’m not saying it’ll be a cake walk, but we’ll get it done.

So that’s on [Adam Pearce] and all the office people at the company to decide. That’s not for us to decide. We don’t make the matches. We just perform and beat everybody up in them.”

Priest also suggested that WWE could bring back the Mixed Match Challenge, and even create Mixed Tag Team Championships.

“Oh, that would be a game-changer, for sure, if we were allowed to do that. Of course, for Rhea and I to win titles together, that would be very meaningful. We’ve talked about it it was like, at least maybe they should bring back the Mixed Match Challenge and create a title for it so we could — just hand us the titles, because ain’t nobody beating us.”

Damian Priest vs. Gunther Part II

Back in the ring, Damian Priest has earned a shot at Gunther and the World Heavyweight Title.

In the main event of a special episode of Monday Night Raw taped in Saudi Arabia following Crown Jewel, Priest saw off Seth Rollins, Sheamus, and Dominik Mysterio to claim victory. However, he was forced to overcome not only his three opponents but also Bronson Reed who attacked Rollins and just about everything that moved, upset at losing to the former World Champion at Crown Jewel.

After the final bell, Priest was confronted by Gunther as the show went off the air.

The pair last met at SummerSlam where Gunther defeated El Campeon to claim the World Heavyweight Title thanks to a huge assist from Finn Balor.
