Damian Priest Was Asked To Read For “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Film

Damian Priest

Damian Priest is featured on WWE Monday Night Raw every week as a part of The Judgment Day faction, but he nearly found himself in Wakanda. According to a new report, Priest was asked to be involved in Hollywood, reading for a big part in Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

According to Fightful Select, Damian Priest was requested to potentially read the role of Namor, who is the primary antagonist in the movie, and he was also offered other reading roles such as characters in Talokan, a fictional underwater kingdom. Fightful Select didn’t give any confirmation on whether or not Priest actually read anything, but they were able to confirm that an inquiry was put in.

Ultimately, Priest ended up not being involved with the film, which made its debut on November 11, 2022 in the United States. Having quite the load in ties to Mayan culture, Namor’s role went to Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta.

If Damian Priest took the role in the film, he would have been on the same patch as other WWE legends such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dave Bautista — both have played huge roles in superhero movies.

With The Rock, he recently starred in the movie “Black Adam” under the same character name, while Batista has been in several films such as Marvel’s Drax the Destroyer, a part of the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
