The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest has reflected on his reaction to finding out he was going to be teaming up with rap superstar Bad Bunny at WrestleMania.
At WrestleMania 37, it was a surprising name people were left talking about afterwards as rap star Bad Bunny stole the show with his impressive performance in a tag team match. Bunny teamed with Damian Priest with the duo defeating former WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz and John Morrison.
Speaking in a video posted to WWE’s TikTok account, Damian Priest recalled his initial reaction to finding out he’d be the one sharing the stage with the rap star:
“I remember when they asked me and they’re like, ‘So we’re going to pair you with Bad Bunny.’ And in my head I was like, you named a wrestler Bad Bunny? And then Hunter was like, ‘No, like the artist Bad Bunny!’ I was like ‘Oh, yeah, that makes sense.’”
Bad Bunny returned to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match, entering at number 27 and lasting over seven minutes, in which time he eliminated Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus before meeting his end at the hands of the eventual winner, Brock Lesnar.
