Damian Priest Grateful For Paul Heyman’s Words After WWE Segment

Damian Priest has revealed just what WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman told him after his recent confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

Damian Priest won a four-way match to become the number one contender to Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship. The Ring General defeated Priest to win that title at SummerSlam but after recent stumbles, Priest thinks he’s seen enough to know he can win back the gold.

And that is what Damian Priest told Gunther to his face on the 11th of November edition of Raw. Priest noted that he’s now seen Gunther lose to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel and knows that if it hadn’t been for Finn Balor betraying him he’d have held on to his title at WWE’s biggest party of the summer.

Damian Priest Thrilled By Paul Heyman’s Words

Speaking on Cheap Heat, Damian Priest revealed how he felt after his confrontation with Gunther and just what Paul Heyman had to say about it afterwards:

I felt good, I felt comfortable. I was flowing. I just went in, and it just felt good. For instance, [Paul] Heyman was talking to me after, and he was like, ‘There’s no distinction between the character and the person. That’s you now.’ That felt good. I was appreciative of his words. For me, it felt smooth, man. I think I finally know how to just be me.

Damian Priest will be glad to have managed to speak to Heyman as it seems Roman Reigns can no longer contact his Wise Man.
