Damian Priest Reveals Major Goal After WWE SummerSlam
Damian Priest is aiming for the top.
After continuing to clash with the Judgment Day through late 2024, Damian Priest moved to SmackDown in 2025 after crossing paths with Drew McIntyre in the Royal Rumble.
This set into motion an increasingly violent storyline that came to a head at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May inside a steel cage.
Since emerging victorious, Priest has only wrestled once, but he’s still managed to find himself wrapped up in a new rivalry with Aleister Black. Although they’re yet to meet in the ring, it seems a one-on-one match is only a matter of time, potentially at SummerSlam.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Priest discussed his current spot in WWE and the upcoming summer spectacular. He also revealed that he had big plans following the two-night even in New York.
“For me?” Priest replied when asked what was next. “SummerSlam is next, and then from there, I mean, I’m looking for gold. Damian Priest wants some gold. I’m ready to be El Campeon again.”
Damian Priest Reflects On Key Advice
Speaking elsewhere to promote SummerSlam, Damian Priest revealed that it was advice from Triple H and The Undertaker that turned his career around.
The star recalled trying to find his feet in NXT before even arriving on the main roster, where Triple H told him to stop pretending and just be himself on television. He added that if Prest could manage to do that, he had main event potential.
Priest said that it was strange having “someone tell you how to be yourself,” but took the advice, also handed down by The Undertaker, on board.
