Damian Priest On When He’ll Cash In His Money In The Bank Contract

Damian Priest has a new look Money in the Bank briefcase and he has talked about when he might want to cash it in.

The last week has been pretty good for Damian Priest. At the WWE Payback Premium Live Event on Saturday, The Judgment Day’s Priest won the WWE Tag Team Titles with Finn Balor when they defeated Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens in a Steel City Street fight. It wasn’t a clean win since they got help from Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh, but Priest & Balor left Payback as champions, so that’s what matters.

Two days later on Monday’s Labor Day edition of Raw, McDonagh wanted to prove his loyalty to The Judgment Day by gifting Priest a new look Money in the Bank briefcase. Instead of the green and yellow MITB briefcase, Priest now has a purple Money in the Bank briefcase that says “Senor” on it since that’s what Priest calls himself – Senor Money in the Bank. The purple color represents The Judgment Day as a group.

As the winner of the Money in the Bank briefcase back in July, Priest has earned the right to challenge any champion in WWE to a match at any time.

Damian Priest Is Always Watching The Champions In WWE

In an interview with WWE’s The Bump, Damian Priest spoke about how he’s focused on keeping the WWE Tag Team Titles with Finn Balor, but he’s also keeping an eye on champions in WWE.

“It’s just keeping an eye out. The focus right now is keeping these [tag team titles]. But I’m always conscious, always watching the champions that are left, whatever champions are left at this point. We’re always watching, and I’m always keeping an eye to see, ‘Is today a good day? Is this a good opportunity?’ I have a whole year, so I don’t have any rush to just cash in that contract when it’s not perfect. It has to be perfect. It has to be perfect.”

“I’ve seen a few moments that I thought, ‘Maybe, but it’s not perfect yet.’ Right now, my focus is making sure we’re all on the same page and all champions. But when the time comes and that perfect time comes, it’ll get cashed in, and it’ll happen.”
