Dakota Kai looks unrecognizable in her latest social media post.
The former WWE star took to Instagram to upload a recent picture of herself amid her break from wrestling.
Dakota Kai is currently one of the top free agents in the industry, but has stayed away from wrestling by choice to focus on other ventures.
The 37-year-old currently has an active YouTube channel as well as a Twitch account, where she operates under the name “charliegirl” to keep in touch with her fan base.
Real name Cheree Crowley, Kai was one of the wrestlers released by WWE on May 2, 2025. Other popular names on the list included Braun Strowman and Shayna Baszler.
One of the reasons speculated for her release was her high remuneration and the Stamford promotion was eager to cut costs.
She was previously released in April 2022, but returned three months later at SummerSlam to form Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky.
Dakota Kai is a 2-time WWE Tag Team Champion and has won as many tag team titles in NXT.

During her time away from wrestling, Dakota Kai has attracted interest from promotions like AEW and TNA.
While appearing on a recent Twitch stream, she admitted to missing wrestling, but won’t step into the squared circle until she has received her much-needed break.
I miss wrestling. Weβre gonna get back into it, itβs just one of those things where itβs been nice to have a little bit of a break.
There is no current update on Kai’s in-ring return, although given her superstar status, she’s expected to grab a lot of eyeballs when that happens.
