Dakota Kai Reacts After Heartbreaking Bayley Betrayal

Dakota Kai betrayed Bayley on WWE SmackDown and has given some insight into her devious actions.

A big match that was advertised going into WWE Smackdown in Glendale was a women’s tag team match between Bayley & Dakota facing off against the Kabuki Warriors duo of Asuka & Kairi Sane, who are the Women’s WWE Tag Team Champions.

For Kai, it was going to be her first match since May 2023 when she suffered a Torn ACL injury in her right knee. Ten months later, she was in her wrestling gear and teaming with Bayley.

As the non-title match went on, Bayley was isolated by the champions until she managed to break free and reached for the tag, which led to Kai dropping to the floor rather than tagging in. It was Kai’s way of turning on Bayley just like the Asuka, Sane and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY did.

The match ended without a result as Bayley went after Kai on the floor, but Asuka & Sane helped Kai. They went into the ring where Kai slapped Bayley in the face. Sky also hit Bayley with a running knee in the head.

While posting on Instagram, Dakota Kai posted this message:

“I look your way…and don’t even see you.”

Meanwhile, on X/Twitter, Kai posted a photo with Sky, Asuka & Sane simply writing one word: “Cry.”

When Did Bayley & Dakota Kai Become Allies In WWE?

At SummerSlam 2002, it was Bayley making her return from a Torn ACL injury, but she wasn’t alone because Dakota Kai was with her and so was IYO SKY. That’s when Damage CTRL was officially formed and remained a cohesive unit led by Bayley for the next year and a half.

Ever since Bayley won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, the rest of Damage CTRL has turned on her which means Bayley will go into her WrestleMania 40 match against WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY without the support of the group she created.
