Current WWE Champion Threatens To Sue AAA

WWE NXT star made a heated statement on X/Twitter after his recent AAA title match.

WWE’s sister company, Mexican-based wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (referred to simply as Triple A), had a major event, Guerra De Titanes, on December 20th. It was the 26th event under the same name since 1997, but it was the first edition as a part of the company’s time under WWE’s ownership.

Wrestlers from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT appeared at the event, like Rey Mysterio and the Wyatt Sicks. NXT North American Champion Ethan Page was also in a match with El Hijo de Dr.Wagner Jr for the AAA Latin American Championship.

A bout that was exciting from start to finish and didn’t have much to separate the two wrestlers in terms of moves traded, got downright dirty towards the end when Ethan Page distracted the referee by going to get the championship belt to use as a weapon. Once the referee was distracted from putting away the belt, Page took out a wrench from his trunks that he had sneaked in while getting the belt and hit Wagner Jr with it.

Page thought he had the match won when Iguana came to the ring and complained to the referee about the wrench. The referee found the wrench in Page’s trunks, overturned his initial decision, signalling that the match be restarted. As soon as the bell rang, Wagner Jr. hit Page with the Wagner Driver and pinned him successfully to retain the gold.

Ethan Page Threatens to sue AAA

Ethan Page took to social media and is threatening to sue AAA for the referee putting his hands in his trunks.
