Corey Graves Has A Lot To Say On WWE NXT
Corey Graves has promised fans they don’t want to miss NXT on January 14th.
Corey Graves made his surprise return to the NXT commentary team at New Year’s Evil, joining Vic Joseph and Booker T behind the announcer’s table. The change marked a wider shake-up of WWE’s commentary teams, with the January 10th edition of SmackDown featuring Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett in a two-man booth.
Days later, Corey Graves expressed his unhappiness at moving back to NXT, claiming he was told he “wasn’t famous enough for his own job.” In the aftermath of his social media outburst, PWInsider reported that there had been “rumblings” that Graves wasn’t pleased with his positioning within the company.
Corey Graves To Speak On WWE NXT
Now, Graves has taken to social media to tell fans to tune in to NXT on January 14th, as he’s “got a lot to say.”
“I’ve got a lot to say.
Don’t miss #WWENXT tonight on @TheCW
TONIGHT.”

While it initially seemed that the star harboured genuine resentment at his move to the developmental brand, this latest post indicates that his upset will be part of a storyline, but where this will lead is unknown. While he hasn’t stepped foot in the ring since 2014 when he was forced to retire on medical grounds, Corey Graves has confirmed that he was clear to compete again as far back as 2022. At the time, the star admitted that the way his career ended has “eaten at him,” so it’s entirely possible he will lace up his boots again in future.
