Controversial Ex-WWE Star Says He Never Talked To Triple H

Triple H WWE Royal Rumble

Triple H doesn’t usually have the reputation of not speaking to WWE Superstars or former Superstars. However, Matt Riddle was in a special circumstance to have experienced it.

The Original Bro was released from WWE in September 2023. Before that, one of his strongest storylines was the tag team he formed with Randy Orton.

Currently, Riddle is working in the independent scene and has secured much fame over there. Furthermore, he is even enjoying playing the character that he resonates with rather than the goofy character that Vince McMahon made him play in WWE.

Matt Riddle crossed paths with Triple H and Vince McMahon at Hulk Hogan’s funeral

Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24th, 2025, due to a cardiac arrest. This tragic news sent the pro-wrestling industry into mourning.

Matt Riddle, Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon were present for the funeral. However, during an exclusive interview with Inside The Ring, the former WWE Superstar revealed that he did not speak to either of them since it would have been unprofessional to go out of his way to do it.

Vince stayed off to the side. I felt like it’d be really unprofessional to go out of my way to do that. We naturally crossed paths. We did. Uh I didn’t get to talk to Paul. I didn’t get to talk to Triple H. I didn’t get to talk to Vince either.

WWE gave a 10-bell salute to Hulk Hogan, but some superstars opted not to be a part of it, and some believe it can be attributed to Hulk Hogan’s racist comments from the past.

On the other hand, Triple H did not have Roman Reigns be a part of it because he felt it would not suit his character.
