Controversial Ex-WWE Star Knows He’d Whip Goldberg’s Ass

A former WWE star is convinced he would beat Goldberg “10 times out of 10.”

Soon after Goldberg announced he would have a retirement match in 2025, former WWE star Matt Riddle ruled himself out of the bout, saying he doesn’t think the Hall of Famer “wants to step up to the plate.”

Now, Riddle has gone further in an interview on the Going Ringside podcast, claiming he would “whoop that ass” every time he stepped in the ring with “Willie G.”

“Dude, Willie G is how I like to refer to him. Willie G, you’re in your f mansion in Texas. You’re in your mansion in Texas, and your bank account is definitely way bigger than mine, especially now since I’ve been fired.

“But let’s be real, bro—at the end of the day, I’d whoop that ass 10 times out of 10, maybe even 11 times out of 10. You know it, your kids know it, your family knows it, the universe knows it.”

Matt Riddle Thinks Match With Goldberg Would Be Great For Business

Speaking in January 2024, Matt Riddle addressed the possibility of facing Goldberg. Despite having had harsh words for the four-time World Champion in the past, Riddle said he would still love to face him, believing he could bring out something fans “haven’t seen in years.”

With Goldberg confirming his retirement match will take place in WWE, though, it is unlikely Riddle will be his opponent.
