AEW has a new Continental Champion.

AEW Worlds End opened with the first semi-final in the Continental Classic between Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay. The bout was a high-octane affair with both men leaving it all in the ring as their rivalry hit a bloody new high.

In the end, it was Ospreay who got the win via the Styles Clash, but he did so drenched in his own blood.

The second semi-final was between Kazuchika Okada and Ricochet. While the match wasn’t wrestled at the same break-neck pace, it certainly didn’t lack intensity. Here, it was Okada who claimed victory via a Rainmaker, before Ricochet was confronted by Swerve Strickland.

In the finals, Okada again used the Rainmaker to earn the win over Will Ospreay to win the second edition of the annual AEW tournament.

Kenny Omega Returns To AEW

As Okada celebrated, Christopher Daniels appeared on the stage and said he’d usually present him with the title, but he’s no longer an Executive Vice President. However, “he is.” At this, Kenny Omega delighted fans as he appeared at the top of the ramp.

Omega handed the title to Okada who proudly held it over his head, but it was the staredown between the pair that captured the imagination. The fact that the rivals locked eyes in front of a banner for All In: Texas wasn’t lost on fans either.

Omega eventually left the ring allowing Okada to enjoy his win, but their issues are far from over.

In the main event, Adam Copeland made a surprise return from injury to back up FTR as they continued their war with the Death Riders.
