Continental Classic Semifinal Matches Set For AEW Worlds End
The final four AEW stars in the Continental Classic have been decided.
Both of the Continental Classic Semifinal matches will take place at AEW Worlds End on December 28th, and the competitors were determined in the Block Finals on the Dynamite on 34th Street special.
On the show, Kyle Fletcher completed his dominant run in the Blue League with a win over Daniel Garcia to bring him up to 12 points. The rising star has only lost one match in the tournament, dropping three points to Mark Briscoe on the Winter is Coming edition of Collision.
Meanwhile, Kazuchika Okada, defeated Shelton Benjamin to finish the league on 10 points. During the tournament, the current Continental Champion lost one match against Fletcher, but also lost points after a surprise draw with Daniel Garcia.
Fletcher will now go on to face Gold League runner-up Will Ospreay at Worlds End. Ospreay ended the league on nine points, tying with Claudio Castagnoli. However, as he beat the Death Rider earlier in the league, The Aerial Assassin scraped into the semifinal.
One of AEW’s newest stars, Ricochet, took the Gold League with ten points after going to a time-limit draw with Darby Allin in the last league match. He will now face Okada in the semifinals in a first-time bout that has been a dream match for many fans.
The winners of the Semifinals will go on to the final later at Worlds End, with the victor becoming the 2024 Continental Champion.

Eddie Kingston won the 2023 Continental Classic, but lost the Continental Title to Okada. Unfortunately, Kingston was unable to try to reclaim his throne as the star is still out of action after breaking his leg during a match back in May.
Will Ospreay & Kyle Fletcher Move Deemed “Scary” By AEW Announcer Jim Ross
Jim Ross has addressed the “scary” move Kyle Fletcher used on Will Ospreay at AEW Full Gear. During the match, Fletcher Tombstoned Ospreay from the ring apron to the steel steps, something JR admits “scared the s**t” out of him. Ross didn’t think both men would be able to walk away unscathed, but thankfully they are both “young and resilient.” If the pair face each other again in the Continental Classic, it’s likely more high-risk spots will be witnessed at Words End.
