Congratulations To AEW Stars MJF & Alicia Atout

MJF Alicia Atout

MJF and Alicia Atout are now married, with the former AEW World Champion calling it the “death of a bachelor.”

Wedding bells were ringing for two members of the AEW roster on September 5th as the former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) married backstage interviewer Alicia Atout in a ceremony attended by many people who work for the company.

MJF and Atout worked together in MLW many years ago, but they weren’t a couple. Max has worked for AEW since day one in 2019, while Atout joined the company in June 2024. They started dating in 2023.

Writing on X at 1:11 AM ET after officially getting married, MJF eloquently remarked on the occasion, as usual.

Even when I’m old and grey I’m gonna feel the way I do today.

The death of a bachelor.

Also chiming on X was AEW’s Owner/GM Tony Khan, who wrote in response to what MJF posted: “Best wedding ever! Thank you @AliciaAtout!”

In a photo posted on X, legendary AEW announcer Taz and his son Hook posed for a picture with the groom, MJF. Taz shared words of encouragement for the newly married couple.

Friedman did not appear on this week’s AEW Dynamite, nor did he appear live a week earlier, likely due to getting time off for his wedding.

MJF’s Movie Goals Include Sharing The Big Screen With WWE Legends

It’s been a big year for Maxwell Jacob Friedman in the AEW ring and also away from the ring. In the Netflix film “Happy Gilmore 2,” Friedman plays one of the sons of Happy Gilmore, who the legendary Adam Sandler plays. The movie did massive numbers on Netflix.

When talking about his acting goals, MJF made it clear that he would love to be in films with some WWE legends like The Rock, John Cena and Dave Bautista.

“I said [this] before, I wanna end up on a Mount Rushmore of professional wrestlers turned actors. If I have the opportunity to get to work with any of the three Gods that are Bautista, Cena or The Rock, I’d be a very happy boy.

Outside of that, my dream acting thing would definitely be getting to be involved in a superhero franchise. I grew up going to the movie theater and those were the movies that would get me to leave my house.”

Everybody here at TJRWrestling sends our congratulations to the newly married couple, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Alicia Atout.
