Concern For Rob Van Dam’s Pregnant Wife After Early Hospitalization

Rob Van Dam Opens Up About His Prescription Drug Addiction

Rob Van Dam was recently seen attending Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The former WWE Champion was by the ringside when John Cena competed in his final wrestling match against Gunther.

Both wrestlers have a storied history dating back to 2006, when RVD won the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22 and challenged Cena for the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand, which the ECW original won.

At 54 years old, RVD continues to wrestle, although in small numbers.

He recently announced that his wife, Katie Forbes, was pregnant with twins, expected to be born in December.

During a recent appearance on TMZ, he revealed that his wife had been hospitalized after being diagnosed with preeclampsia.

My wife is in the hospital about to pop babies. The first date they gave us was February 6th, and they said twins come early, so don’t count on it…. I don’t really plan on that, but then she went in Sunday, but I guess it’s been a week now. She went to the hospital, not feeling well. They kept her. Said she’s got something called preeclampsia.

She can’t come home. The preeclampsia gave her high blood pressure, and it became a considerably unsafe environment for the babies. So they got to stay there to keep that in control on the monitor. And I guess the preeclampsia doesn’t go away until you give birth.

Rob Van Dam Set For In-Ring Return

Rob Van Dam is currently signed to WWE under a Legends contract. However, he makes appearances in the indies, taking on matches from time to time.

His last in-ring appearance was at MLW Battle Royal VII in April, where he was one of the participants in the 40-man battle royal match for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

During his interview with TMZ, he revealed the details about his next match in February.

I’m good now. It’s been six months or so. I haven’t wrestled yet, I do have a match in Australia in February, that’ll be the test. But yeah, I’m much better.
