Former WWE Writer Compares Jade Cargill To Scott Steiner

Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast and spoke about his displeasure with the execution of the November 2, 2022 AEW Dynamite match between Jade Cargill and Marina Shafir.

Starting out, Prinze Jr. rained down praise on the undefeated 42-0 AEW star:

“She’s jacked, she’s sculpted. Michelangelo created this woman. Everything about her looks perfect. The hair, the makeup, the wardrobe. And again, I can’t say enough good things. It’s like watching Scott Steiner in his absolute prime.”

Prinze Jr. said that the match between the two would have been a solid opportunity to get Jade Cargill over, but Shafir “no selling” Cargill’s signature Jaded finishing move ruined it. He compared the move to the Grand Slam of Beth Phoenix, and when doing so, noted that Phoenix’s opponents would always show struggle when being picked up. When Jade Cargill lifted up Shafir, she gave a blank stare into the camera.

“She just looked like she was bored and didn’t want to be there. If I’m Jade, I’m either reading this girl the Riot Act, or I’m talking to Tony [Khan], and having him do it. I’m not trying to rag on this girl, Marina, but either you want to be there or you don’t.”
