Cody Rhodes Pays Touching Tribute To Longtime WWE Employee

Cody Rhodes WWE

Cody Rhodes did something really cool for a longtime WWE employee after SmackDown.

The main event of WWE SmackDown in Salt Lake City featured a contract signing between the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre to promote their big title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

During the segment, the angry Scottish Warrior McIntyre complained that if he gets disqualified or counted out, then he loses the match, yet if Rhodes gets counted out or disqualified, then Rhodes keeps the title. The champion Rhodes was tired of hearing McIntyre’s complaining, so he stated that if he were to be disqualified or counted out, he would lose the WWE Title. SmackDown’s GM Nick Aldis agreed to the stipulation.

After the talking was done, things got physical, and McIntyre got the upper hand when he gave Rhodes a Powerbomb through the table in the ring. McIntyre told Rhodes he’ll do whatever it takes to win the WWE Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has predicted that this rivalry between Rhodes and McIntyre could lead Rhodes to the “dark side”—a potential heel turn —but fans will have to watch and see what happens.

Cody Rhodes Puts WWE Title On Stu The Cameraman

The superstars of WWE are the ones who get the spotlight and attention on WWE TV, but there is a great crew of people surrounding them.

Whenever John Cena makes his entrance and runs down to the ring for a match or a promo, he usually talks to Stu the cameraman by the entrance. Cena often tells Stu that it’s time to go to work, and then Stun runs down to the ring behind him to capture Cena’s entrance for those of us watching at home.

Following the WWE SmackDown taping in Salt Lake City on Halloween, Cody Rhodes put Stu the cameraman on his shoulders and put the WWE Title around Stu’s waist. The fans cheered for Stu as he posed for them.

Rhodes would go on to shake Stu’s hand, tell him the man, and he wished Stu a happy birthday as well. Rhodes gave Stu a big hug and got the fans to cheer for Stu as well.

There are four matches officially announced for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1st.
