The 40-Year-Old will now fight John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Title at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Meanwhile, Rhodes was recently reported to have joined the cast of the new Street Fighter movie, alongside Roman Reigns.

Following the news, the SmackDown star dropped a cryptic post, which sparked rumors about his future.

Is Cody Rhodes Going Away To Film The Movie?

WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently addressed Cody Rhodes’ cryptic tweet on SiriusXM Radio.

The 41-year-old WWE personality suggested the tweet might have been a hint that The American Nightmare would step away from the ring temporarily to film the Street Fighter movie.

Some people just think, I don’t know, is he gonna take time off? We were talking remember a couple weeks ago or last week, we were taking about the Street Fighter movie and the heavy rumors that Cody Rhodes is either in contention or confirmed to play Guile in this Street Fighter movie.

Well, I mean, we won’t know if it’s for sure until we see him with spikes in that blonde hair. But that’s one thing that it could be. Maybe he’s stepping away for a minute or two. [2:19 onwards]
