Cody Rhodes Threatened By Loudmouth NJPW Star
Cody Rhodes has been given a stern warning by one NJPW star as WWE prepares itself for its first tour of Japan in five years.
In recent years WWE has made a noticeable push to make itself more international, taking an increasing number of shows outside of North America.
It’s now been announced WWE will be heading to Japan in July, to run its first live events in the country since June 2019. Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, IYO SKY, and the Kabuki Warriors have been confirmed for the tour.
Cody Rhodes Warned By NJPW Champion
Cody Rhodes – who spent time in Japan as part of Buller Club in NJPW – responded to the news on social media in the time-honoured tradition of the eye emoji but was swiftly threatened by NJPW star Gabe Kidd who reminded The American Nightmare of a previous shock loss to the NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion:
STAY OUT OF MY TERRITORY BEFORE I SLAP YOU UP AND TAKE YOUR BELT AGAIN!!

The only time Cody Rhodes has faced Gabe Kidd in the past came on a WCPW show in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England where Kidd won the WCPW Internet Title from Rhodes in a three-way match that included Joe Hendry.
While it’s unlikely that Rhodes and Gabe Kidd would get into it on a show given their current employment, two WWE stars are wanted by an outside promotion for an upcoming show.
