Cody Rhodes has heaped praise on Triple H.

Although he returned to WWE while Vince McMahon was still at the helm, Cody Rhodes has forged a close working relationship with Triple H since leaving AEW.

Rhodes’ rise to the top of WWE has coincided with the company enjoying a level of popularity not seen in more than two decades. While there are numerous reasons why the boom period took over, many credit at least some of the success to Triple H and his handling of on-screen creative.

During an interview with ESPN, Rhodes broke down why Triple H is ahead of the curve.

“Triple H in the ring had world-champion instincts long before he ever was one. He applies those instincts expertly today as chief content officer. He was also amongst a handful of players ahead of the curve in terms of evolving the sport which he showcased with the NXT black-and-gold era.

“When the moment came for him to take over with Nick Khan and lead the ship creatively, he helped guide WWE to massive television ratings and social engagement increases. I take the field for him with immense pride.”

Cody Rhodes To Open WWE SmackDown

Triple H has announced that Cody Rhodes’ Cage Match against Solo Sikoa will open the September 13th edition of SmackDown. After getting the better of Kevin Owens at Bash In Berlin, Rhodes will again defend his Undisputed WWE Title against Sikoa in a huge rematch from SummerSlam.

The episode is set to be one of the biggest for the blue brand in 2024 as it moves from Fox to the USA Network.

The show is also expected to feature the return of Roman Reigns as he continues his own battle with The Bloodline.
