Cody Rhodes Reveals Surprising WWE Backstage Nickname

Cody Rhodes has shared the unique nickname that people in WWE have given him when he rocks a specific look.

When Cody Rhodes appears on WWE television for a non-wrestling segment, he typically wears a suit because he wants to present a professional image.

There are times when Cody is on television wearing an American Nightmare-style track suit so that he can run down to the ring and get physical with whoever he is feuding with at the time.

During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Cody revealed that when he appears on television in the tracksuit, he is nicknamed “Cozy Rhodes” by members of the WWE writers team and others backstage in the company.

At WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes lost the WWE Championship to John Cena in a match where rapper Travis Scott helped the heel Cena get the win. It was a match that many people criticized for not being as great as a WrestleMania main event should be.

When Cody Rhodes won the WWE Championship back from Cena at SummerSlam, they had a great match that will likely be remembered as one of the best WWE matches this year. Cody spoke about the differences on the McAfee show.

“It’s MetLife, what a good time. I hate saying this, but part of the beauty of how great that match is was the lack of a match that really took place at WrestleMania in a sense. Sometimes the long game is the game.

It’s like going on last, it’s a hard spot occasionally, but the bigger picture — I treat them as the same match and then we just got to use all the bells and whistles.”

Cody Rhodes will team up with Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown on October 3rd as they team up against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
