Cody Rhodes’ Student Among 3 New WWE Signings

WWE recently signed three new talents, and Cody Rhodes’ student is one of them.

During the October 29, 2025, episode of WWE Evolve, interviewer Chuey Martinez introduced three fresh additions to the WWE family, Mike Cunningham, Jha’Quan McNair, and Eli Knight, to the crowd and viewers.

Mike Cunningham comes to Evolve after training at the Nightmare Factory, a wrestling school co-owned by Cody Rhodes, where he was recently praised as one of its top students. Jha’Quan McNair developed his craft at the Team Fearless Training Academy, and Eli Knight trained at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling.

All three new signings got their chance through WWE’s SummerSlam week tryouts held in New Jersey, which is becoming a major gateway for independent talent to break through into WWE Evolve and, later, possibly NXT.

Cody Rhodes Is Set To Face Drew McIntyre At Saturday Night’s Main Event

This Saturday, November 1, WWE will hold Saturday Night Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah. One of the matches on the card is Cody Rhodes defending his WWE Undisputed Championship against Drew McIntyre in a singles match.

The American Nightmare has already defended his title against McIntyre twice, the first time at WrestlePalooza and then on the 10/17 edition of WWE SmackDown, and retained the belt both times.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s UnSKripted podcast, veteran Bill Apter expressed he wants to see The Scottish Warrior win at SNME this weekend.

“I want to see that. I’m not sick of Cody by any means, but I wanna see this. Give Drew his due; that would’ve been a good magazine headline. Yeah, I wanna see Drew do this, and I wanna see a slow heel turn on Cody Rhodes finally,” Apter said.

Rhodes won the WWE Undisputed Championship back from John Cena in a Street Fight match earlier this year at SummerSlam.
