Cody Rhodes Facing Solo Sikoa Rematch But Not When You Might Expect

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes will respond to Solo Sikoa on WWE SmackDown but it seems a rematch between the two stars won’t take place when many might expect.

Cody Rhodes survived Bloodline Rules at SummerSlam to defeat Solo Sikoa and retain his Undisputed WWE Championship after some help from an unlikely source.

Roman Reigns made his shock return to WWE to take out Sikoa who has been calling himself The Tribal Chief in Reigns’ absence. Despite the loss, Sikoa vowed that no matter who held the WWE Title after Bash In Berlin, he’d be waiting.

Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain his title in Germany and now it was confirmed on Raw in Denver that the 6th of September edition of SmackDown will see Rhodes respond to Solo Sikoa.

Cody Rhodes Won’t Face Solo Sikoa At Bad Blood

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that there will be another match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa but it won’t be taking place at WWE’s next premium live event – Bad Blood on October 5th:

On the Cody/Solo Sikoa front. From what I was told, Cody and Solo are not scheduled for Bad Blood but they are scheduled – I don’t know when the match is gonna be. Obviously, on Friday’s show, they’re gonna set up a match.

I wouldn’t be surprised, I have not been told this, this is just my guess, is that they may do it on the first show back on the USA Network which would be a week from Friday (September 13th).

WWE have major plans for Bad Blood that involve CM Punk and Drew McIntyre after McIntyre fed Punk his bracelet on Raw.
