Cody Rhodes Slapped By Female WWE Star On SmackDown, Huge Match Announced

A female WWE Superstar laid hands on Cody Rhodes in the opening segment of SmackDown.

The American Nightmare kicked off tonight’s episode of the blue brand. He addressed his victory over Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The Undisputed WWE Champion pointed out that The Scottish Warrior was the one who introduced the title belt into the match, which Rhodes eventually used to finish him.

The second-generation star also admitted that his reluctance had cost him before, referencing his loss to John Cena at WrestleMania after he hesitated to use the belt against The Never Seen 17. Hence, he was not reluctant to do so against McIntyre last Saturday.

Rhodes then announced that he was done with McIntyre and wanted to do something different, revealing that he would like to sit and watch SmackDown to decide who was next in line for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Cody Rhodes Confronted By Aleister Black & Zelina On WWE SmackDown

As Cody Rhodes seemed to be leaving the ring, he was interrupted by Aleister Black and Zelina. The former NXT Champion stated that he had been looking for something new since he set Damian Priest on fire.

The 40-year-old added that he has a chip on his shoulder about the size of the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes then tried to get in Black’s face, but was stopped by Zelina.

The former Women’s Tag Team Champion told The American Nightmare, “Too bad your nightmare begins now,” before shockingly slapping him across the face.

Before things escalated further, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis came out to announce a match between Rhodes and Black in the main event of the show.
