Cody Rhodes Set For Massive WWE Title Match On SmackDown

Cody Rhodes WWE Champion

Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship tonight on SmackDown.

Last Monday on RAW, Cody Rhodes appeared backstage to congratulate John Cena after the 48-year-old legend defeated Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.

The American Nightmare appeared again later that same night as he rushed to the ring to help the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and Jey Uso against The Vision. It was later announced that the Undisputed WWE Champion, The Second City Saint, and the leader of the Yeet movement will team up against The Vision in a WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Cody Rhodes Vs. Bronson Reed Tonight On WWE SmackDown

Tonight on SmackDown, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was approached by The Vision’s Oracle, Paul Heyman, and Bronson Reed backstage. Heyman presented the “WarGames agreement” to Aldis, pointing out that he is allowed to take any talent under a WWE contract across all brands.

Aldis confirmed that clause before asking Heyman and Reed to leave. Before they do, Cody Rhodes came into the office and confronted The Oracle and The Tribal Thief. He challenged the latter to a fight, which he accepted.

When the former Wiseman suggested the match be for the Undisputed WWE Championship, The American Nightmare agreed and asked Aldis to book it. Reluctantly, the SmackDown General Manager did. Rhodes and Reed will now clash for the title in the main event of tonight’s SmackDown.
