Triple H & Cody Rhodes Drop Cryptic Hint Ahead Of Saturday Night’s Main Event

Cody Rhodes with Undisputed WWE Championship belt on his shoulder

Cody Rhodes might have finally gotten his wish.

On December 14th, WWE will bring back Saturday Night’s Main Event for the first time since 2008. The special will see Jesse Ventura make his return to WWE television as he steps back behind the announce desk.

WWE has pledged to honour the old school during the show, and that could mean the return of the legendary Winged Eagle World Championship belt.

In a new promo video on social media, Triple H shows Cody Rhodes something shining in a case, warning that it’s only available for one night only.

Since returning to WWE, Rhodes has made no secret of his desire to bring back the classic title belt, having brought back an old Intercontinental Championship during his first run with the company.

Cody Rhodes Gearing Up For A Fight

At the event, Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Title against Kevin Owens. Although Owens challenged Rhodes for the title at Bash In Berlin, the rivalry kicked into another gear when he attacked the champion in the parking lot at Bad Blood.

Since then, KO has blasted Rhodes for turning his back on him and the rest of the locker room to team with Roman Reigns.

Elsewhere, Gunther will put his World Heavyweight Title on the line against Damian Priest and Finn Balor, while Liv Morgan defends her Women’s World Title against Iyo Sky. Drew McIntyre will also wrestle his first match since being beaten by CM Punk at Bad Blood against Sami Zayn.

The company will also crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion, following the finals of a month-tournament. The winner will be one of Bayley, Chelsea Green, Michin, or Tiffany Stratton.
