Cody Rhodes Brutally Roasts John Cena On WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes stood tall ahead of WrestleMania 41 as he delivered both a verbal and physical beatdown on John Cena that left Cena stunned.

John Cena sold his soul at Elimination Chamber, viciously turning on Cody Rhodes after Cena had booked a WWE Championship match against Rhodes at WrestleMania. Since then, Cena has blamed everyone but himself for his actions as he looks to break the tie with Ric Flair and become a world champion for the 17th time in his career.

But Cody Rhodes isn’t lying down to Cena and on SmackDown in Las Vegas, he did what few have failed to ever do before as he eviscerated Cena on the mic.

Cody Rhodes Delivers Fine Speech

Cody Rhodes told John Cena that among other things, Cena was overrated, overbearing, out of touch, and out of time. That Cena’s face was melting wax, he had a stack of dimes for a neck, spindly-ass legs, and that he was paler than Sting at Starrcade 1997. Despite being booked as WCW’s top star for over a year, Eric Bischoff has maintained that he had second thoughts about putting the WCW World Championship on Sting at Starrcade 1997 due to him turning up at the event pale.

Rhodes then took issue with Cena calling him an errand boy when “The whole world watched [Cena] saunter on the Oscars’ stage butt-ass naked for the people that you run errands for now.” The American Nightmare finished his tirade by pointing out that it’s 2025 and Cena still can’t wrestle.

Cena retorted that to beat Rhodes, he didn’t have to wrestle before he delivered a thumb to the eye and attempted an Attitude Adjustment. Rhodes countered with a Cross Rhodes as he stood tall over his WrestleMania challenger.
