Cody Rhodes Responds To WWE Heel Turn Rumors
Cody Rhodes turning heel has been an interesting conversation among the WWE Universe.
The American Nightmare has been a hero to the fandom, but little does everyone know that a heel turn will possibly make Cody Rhodes’ story even more popular than it is now.
John Cena’s heel turn has been quite the success so far, and there is no doubt that if WWE was to turn Rhodes heel, that would open up several unique creative angles.
Cody Rhodes might not turn heel ahead of retirement
The American Nightmare is currently the King of the Ring, and will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2025. It is being heavily speculated that Rhodes will either turn heel ahead of the premium live event or at the event.
He addressed the speculations of him turning heel during his appearance on Busted Open Radio, explaining that he doesn’t see it happening with the amount of time he has left.

I don’t even… yeah, you never say never in wrestling, and plenty of people have the capacity for the light and the dark, but I don’t know if we’re on that road within the time I have left in wrestling. Who knows though? With Bully Ray sitting next to you, you never wanna say never. [h/t Ringside news]
