Cody Rhodes Reacts To WWE’s New Deal With ESPN
Cody Rhodes has reacted to WWE’s latest deal with ESPN.
On August 6, it was announced that the two sports giants had signed a five-year streaming partnership, valued at $325 million per year.
The deal will begin in 2026, allowing wrestling fans in the United States to stream WWE premium live events exclusively on ESPN.
While announcing the deal, ESPN released a statement containing comments from WWE and TKO’s higher-ups, including Nick Khan and Mark Shapiro.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, too, shared his thoughts about this historic deal on X.

Cody Rhodes Excited About The WWE-ESPN Deal
Cody Rhodes wrestled John Cena on Night 2 of SummerSlam for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which he lost at WrestleMania 41.
The match contained back-and-forth action, with both superstars giving it their all under a Street Fight stipulation.
As expected, the fight went into the audience and back into the ring before Rhodes reclaimed his title with a Cross Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes, too, shared his thoughts about WWE’s ESPN deal, which he called “the perfect match.”
The fact that we can now have, you know, the Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank you mentioned, and, of course, our biggest event, Wrestlemania, going to be on ESPN platforms… that that’s the perfect match.
