WWE Legend Predicted As Cody Rhodes’ Opponent At Night Of Champions
Night of Champions may see Randy Orton step up to The American Nightmare.
Cody Rhodes is on the road to challenging for a World Championship again. All he will have to do is win two more matches in the KOTR tournament.
The King Of The Ring tournament kicked off on last week’s episode of WWE RAW. Now with the semi-finalists clear, Sam Roberts spoke about who should be the two finalists to face off at Night of Champions on the Notsam Wrestling show. He said that the two former Legacy stablemates should be the ones to face each other.
“In my mind, I’d have Randy Orton beat Sami Zayn, and I would have Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes have one of the epic matches of all time, and Rhodes beats Uso. Now we go to Night of Champions, where you’ve got John Cena vs. CM Punk, and you’ve got Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. And you might be saying, ‘but this Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton match is something people have been waiting for, it’s an epic encounter.’ I’m saying yes, I am agreeing with you, but this is a babyface vs babyface tournament final of Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton. This is not THE Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton match, this is A Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton match” [52:30 – 53:21]
Cody Rhodes And John Cena May Face Off In A Non-title Match
On the same episode of Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts spoke about Seth Rollins possibly playing a major role at Night of Champions. The Visionary is Mr. Money In The Bank and can challenge a champion of his choosing whenever he wants.
Roberts spoke about Rollins possibly cashing-in on John Cena at Night of Champions and winning the WWE Title. This would set up a SummerSlam clash between Rollins and Punk while The American Nightmare could face Cena for losing the title before he got his rematch.
