Cody Rhodes has spoken about The Rock’s potential WWE return.

Appearing in his “The Final Boss” persona, The Rock was last seen at the Elimination Chamber PLE in March.

The segment featuring him and Rhodes also involved John Cena, who turned heel by attacking The American Nightmare.

The Brahma Bull was eagerly expected to appear at WrestleMania 41, but only Hollywood rapper Travis Scott showed up instead, much to the fans’ dismay.

Speculation about The Rock’s backstage tussles over creative reign has made the rounds recently, suggesting it may be the reason for his absence.

Amidst the hullabaloo, Cody Rhodes believes there is no reason for The Great One’s return to be rushed.

During a recent chat with Gabby LaSpisa on the Gabby AF podcast, Rhodes explained that the 53-year-old has other commitments and fans should respect that.

I consider him always there, just because he truly is on the board and a big part of our world—a massive part of our world. But I mean, right now, with what he’s doing, I think people need to let him have his moment and not rush him.

He’s working with Scorsese, doing The Smashing Machine—he’s really going for it. And as a wrestler, whether you love him or hate him, you’ve gotta respect that. You see that and think, ‘Hey, let him get this done.

Cody Rhodes Shoots Down Heel Turn Rumors

Cody Rhodes has been a babyface since returning to WWE in 2022.

Of late, there have been expectations surrounding his heel turn at SummerSlam, or a double turn, with John Cena returning to his babyface persona.

Rhodes discussed the subject during a recent appearance on First Take, claiming a heel turn may not be on the cards for him.

I always like to say in what we do, never say never. And the more you’re in this, it’s probably likely. But I think my version of a heel is just way too… I don’t know. I wouldn’t have music. The song would go away. The entrance would go away. I’d try to get myself canceled. I don’t know if it would even translate.

Never say never, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. [H/T: Ringside News]
