Cody Rhodes Wants Major NFL Star To Finish His Story
Cody Rhodes is a big sports fan who wants to see one of the NFL’s biggest stars finish his story just like Cody did.
When NFL Pro Bowl QB Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals showed up to training camp with a new hairstyle, it led to a lot of people comparing him to the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. That’s because Burrow went from having longer brown hair to a shaved blonde look that reminded many people of the current WWE Champion Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes even tweeted an image of Burrow shortly after Burrow showed up with the new American Nightmare-style look. The image below does have Burrow’s legit hairstyle while the Cody neck tattoo and WWE Title have been edited into the photo.

It is well known that Cody Rhodes is a big sports fan. The Georgia-raised star supports the powerful Georgia Bulldogs football team in the SEC while Burrow won the National Championship with the LSU Tigers before being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The WWE Champion Rhodes recently appeared on ESPN’s Get Up before SummerSlam to talk about Burrow’s look.
“I hope it brings him good luck. I’m actually a big Joe Burrow fan. I mean, SEC legend. I mean, now that they’re not playing one another anymore, I’m definitely at heart a Dawgs fan, but this guy was as good as good gets on the college field. I very much love watching him now, all these young quarterbacks and what they’re doing.”
“I hope the look does him justice. It certainly worked for me. We finished the story, got the WWE championship. I hope he can get some gold himself.”
Joe Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to Super Bowl 56 in 2021-22 when they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. While the Bengals fell short that year, Burrow is 27 years old and has many years ahead of him as an NFL QB.
Cody Rhodes Retains WWE Title At SummerSlam Thanks To Roman Reigns
The WWE Champion Cody Rhodes can now say he’s 2-0 in Bloodline Rules matches after defeating Solo Sikoa in the main event of SummerSlam. The deciding factor in the match was the returning Roman Reigns, who was back in a WWE ring for the first time in four months. Reigns took out his cousin Solo with a Superman Punch and Spear, which allowed Cody to hit Cross Rhodes and pin Solo to win the match.
After the show, Cody spoke about how he feels Reigns certainly deserves a rematch for the WWE Title, which is a match a lot of fans would love to see at least one more time.
