Cody Rhodes Names WWE’s Locker Room Leader

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has revealed WWE’s locker room leader.

For decades, WWE Superstars past and present spoke in almost revered terms about The Undertaker and his influence over the locker room.

If there were a problem, The Deadman would be the one to fix it and take suggestions to management, but by the same token, if someone was falling below the accepted standard, he was quick to remind them to step up.

In the years since the veteran’s retirement, fans have wondered whether anyone else in the locker room moved to assume that role, and now they have their answer.

During a new episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast with Jelly Roll, Cody Rhodes revealed that Randy Orton has become the voice of reason.

“I like the idea that you’re talking about Randy Orton who is currently, I don’t think Undertaker would dislike this, but he really has become the Undertaker of this locker room.

If there was a real problem, probably going to go to Randy or Seth.”

WWE Won’t Turn Cody Rhodes Heel

Meanwhile, a new report has confirmed that WWE has no plans to turn Cody Rhodes heel after he regained the Undisputed WWE Championship.

For several months, Rhodes has teased a heel turn, suggesting that it’s inevitable, and in one interview, even laying out how a heel character would work. However, it’s now been claimed that this was Rhodes simply sending fans in the wrong direction for his own amusement.

One WWE source described the comments as “strategic misdirection” by Rhodes, while another noted that, given his current marketing and promotional deals, making him a “bad guy” wouldn’t make logical sense.

Rhodes is set to appear on the August 8 edition of SmackDown to address his recent win over John Cena and what comes next.
