Cody Rhodes Names Hilarious Moment As 2023 WWE Highlight
Cody Rhodes had looked outside his exploits in a WWE ring to discuss one hilarious and unplanned moment as one of his highlights of 2023.
Cody Rhodes had one of the best 2023s in WWE, returning from serious injury at the start of the year to win the men’s Royal Rumble match. However, what should have been the year of his career was probably stopped from being just that by Roman Reigns crushing his dreams at WrestleMania 39 as Cody Rhodes failed to win the WWE Universal Championship.
However, following that setback, Cody Rhodes made a comfortable home for himself on Monday Night Raw where he ended up capturing the WWE Tag Team Championship with Jey Uso, albeit for a short time.
Cody Rhodes Reveals Jey Uso Moment As 2023 WWE Highlight
On the Christmas Day edition of Raw, Jackie Redmond and Pete Rosenberg looked back over the year and aired an interview where they asked Rhodes for his highlight of 2023. As well as naming his Royal Rumble success, Rhodes also pointed to a famous moment at a post-show press conference where he and Jey Uso were having a good time:
I’d say though maybe an under appreciated gem… was the post-match press conference at Fastlane with Main Event Jey Uso.
I love it because it was really unexpected. I always try and be polished and ready and straight forward when I do those press conferences but it was a lot of fun and I’m glad we did it.
The press conference came after Uso and Rhodes had captured the tag team gold and Rhodes admitted that they had enjoyed some adult beverages on the bus before their appearance where the “Yeet!” catchphrase for Uso was born.
