Cody Rhodes Set For Huge Match On SmackDown’s USA Network Debut

Cody Rhodes WWE Champion Stare

The big matches keep on coming for Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes has spent much of the last two years at war with the Bloodline across the group’s various guises. Many thought that might change when Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship, but the faction regrouped and continued the fight.

Although Reigns has largely been away from SmackDown, Rhodes’ problems with the group have continued to mount with Solo Sikoa leading the fight. This saw Rhodes and the new ‘Tribal Chief’ do battle at SummerSlam with the World Title on the line.

However, with Rhodes looking all but beaten Reigns returned to WWE, attacking Sikoa, enabling Rhodes to pick up the win.

Cody Rhodes Linked With Rematch

Since then, Rhodes has been faced by challengers from elsewhere, namely Kevin Owens, as Reigns continues to fight Sikoa, but it seems he isn’t done with The Bloodline.

According to a new report from WRKD Wrestling, Rhodes and Sikoa will square off one more time on September 13th as SmackDown moves from FOX to the USA Network. On September 6th, Rhodes is scheduled to address Sikoa after he laid down a challenge to the winner of the recent match between the America Nightmare and Owens.

Interestingly, Roman Reigns was recently removed from advertising for the episode, despite previously being scheduled to appear. There is no word on when Reigns will return to television after being attacked by The Bloodline on August 16th.
