Cody Rhodes will put the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The superstars had the contract signing segment on the go-home episode of WWE SmackDown. An interesting stipulation has been added to the match where a countout or DQ would mean The American Nightmare will lose the title.

Cody Rhodes will retain the Undisputed WWE Championship

Both McIntyre and Rhodes are fan favorites to win or retain the championship. Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. discussed the winner of the match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Wrestling with Freddie.

He claimed that the collective pick is to have Cody Rhodes retain the championship. Since he is the face of the company, he cannot lose to Drew McIntyre.

We all pick Cody to retain. Um the face of the company doesn’t lose people.

It has been discussed that if Drew McIntyre wins the championship, The American Nightmare can benefit from the loss as well. Other babyfaces can pursue the championship before Cody Rhodes gets the championship back ahead of WrestleMania 42.

Drew McIntyre has made a bold claim about himself ahead of the championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
