Cody Rhodes Looks Unrecognizable In Trailer For “The Naked Gun” (VIDEO)
Fans of Cody Rhodes can see him looking a lot different as part of the upcoming remake of “The Naked Gun.”
The former WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is a busy individual who is doing his best to secure another opportunity at the WWE Championship, which he lost at WrestleMania 41.
Away from the ring, Cody filmed a cameo in the upcoming remake of “The Naked Gun,” a classic series of three comedy films starring the late, great Leslie Nielsen.
In the remake, Liam Neeson takes the lead role, with Pamela Anderson as his co-star. The film is in theatres on August 1st. A new trailer was released today, and wrestling fans were happy to see Cody Rhodes in it.
During The Naked Gun trailer, Cody appears at the 1:22 mark as Frank Drebin Jr. (Neeson) slams his head into an object, and when Cody’s head pops back up, his nose looks flattened, and his eyebrows are a lot thicker. It is a comedy, after all.

Cody Rhodes addressed his role in the film a few months ago by saying “it was very fun” for him to work with a film legend like Liam Neeson
“Yeah, I have a little cameo. I feel a little weird because they keep promoting me — You know what, I’m happy they’re promoting me, it’s pretty cool. I got to do a scene with Liam Neeson. There’s so many different things you can say, Liam Neeson this movie, Liam Neeson that movie, I’m a diehard Star Wars fan so this is Qui-Gon Jinn, this is Liam Neeson.
It’s a yes. He was the coolest guy. The way he was doing every scene, he’d take it a little differently. It was cool to chop up with him and learn from him in that moment, it was very fun.”
Cody Rhodes Moves On To WWE King Of The Ring Semifinals
In the main event of Money in the Bank, Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso defeated the WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul thanks to an assist by Ron Killings. Cody got the win with the Cross Rhodes in that match.
Even though Cody beat Cena in that match, he won’t get the WWE Title match at Night of Champions on June 28th because CM Punk will, even though Punk has lost his last five televised matches. Punk’s decorated history with Cena was enough to get a title match.
Cody Rhodes did pick up a massive win on SmackDown in a four-way match in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. In the semifinals, Cody will face the winner of a four-way match between Jey Uso, Sheamus, Rusev, and Bronson Reed on the June 16th episode of Raw.
The finals of King of the Ring will take place on June 28th at WWE Night of Champions.
Hopefully, for Cody’s sake, his nose will remain dashing during the King of the Ring tournament, unlike how it looks in The Naked Gun trailer.
