Cody Rhodes Looking To Go Hollywood

Cody Rhodes might not have found success in Hollywood at WrestleMania 39 but a new report says that the WWE star is looking for movie roles.

In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes heartbreakingly failed to finish his story and win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship when he was defeated by Roman Reigns – with no little help from Solo Sikoa.

Fightful Select has reported that sources close to the situation noted that Cody Rhodes was making the most of his time in Los Angeles over WrestleMania weekend as he took meetings regarding some potential film and television roles.

The report notes that there had been conversations around him being interested in playing the role of Johnny Cage in the new Mortal Kombat movie – a role that The Miz is also said to have his eye on. There was also said to be discussion of Rhodes being linked to an upcoming Zelda film.

Cody Rhodes already has some experience in the acting realm as he appeared in several episodes of Arrow as Derek Sampson – a villain impervious to pain after falling into a vat of the drug known as stardust. During Rhodes’ time in AEW, he was also featured on TNT/TBS shows such as Go Big Show and he and his wife Brandi’s own reality show, Rhodes To The Top.
