Cody Rhodes Discusses Jim Ross’ Unique Reaction To His Neck Tattoo

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has long been the talk of the wrestling world for many reasons, not least, because of his polarising neck tattoo.

Rhodes chose to showcase his brand in the most unique way he could when he got his American Nightmare logo tattooed onto his neck while he was part of AEW. While many people had their say about his bold choice, Cody Rhodes revealed that one man paid to talk for a living couldn’t find words to describe his thoughts about it.

Speaking to one of the men he eliminated from the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match, Logan Paul, on his Impaulsive podcast, Cody Rhodes noted that Jim Ross was completely lost for words by the new addition to his neck:

“I mean, I don’t know if it was a mistake or if I wasn’t paying attention. A lot of people were like neck? And then like, my boss at the time, this was when I was at AEW, he just thought like, no way, it’s not gonna be your neck or anything.”

“I walked into the production meeting the next day, just I remember Jim Ross, the legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross literally just the whole meeting was just staring at it, not listening to anything.”

Cody Rhodes also explained why he decided to go through with his Hell In A Cell match with Seth Rollins despite tearing his pectoral muscle just days before.
